These Terms of Use apply to the KinWise website, landing pages, and the KinWise Finance Navigator application (together, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

KinWise Finance Navigator is a digital tool that helps households and whānau organise, understand, and track their finances together. KinWise provides general information, tools, and features to support budgeting, goal setting, and financial awareness.

KinWise is developed and operated by KinWise Limited, based in Aotearoa New Zealand.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use the Services. By using KinWise, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

KinWise does not provide personalised financial advice.

Any information, tips, or guidance provided through the website, app, or KinWise Assistant is:

for educational and informational purposes only
not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice

AI-Powered Features and the KinWise Assistant

KinWise uses artificial intelligence ("AI") to power features including the KinWise Assistant (chat), voice prompts, Smart Insights, and other tools within the Services. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated responses, suggestions, and insights are not personalised financial, legal, or tax advice
AI may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. You should always verify important information independently
You should not rely solely on AI-generated content when making financial decisions
We strongly recommend seeking guidance from a qualified professional financial adviser, accountant, or other appropriate expert before acting on any information provided by these features
KinWise Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on AI-generated content

We are always working to improve the accuracy and helpfulness of our AI features, but no AI system is perfect. Treat AI outputs as a helpful starting point, not a final answer.

4. Use of the Services

You agree to use the Services responsibly and lawfully. You must not:

misuse or interfere with the Services
attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to use
submit false or misleading information
use the Services for unlawful or harmful purposes

We may suspend or restrict access if these Terms are breached.

5. Accounts and Information

Some features may require you to provide information such as your name or email address, including when joining the waitlist.

You agree that:

the information you provide is accurate and up to date
you have the right to provide that information
you understand how your information is used as outlined in our Privacy Policy

6. Waitlist and Early Access

Joining the KinWise waitlist does not guarantee access to the app, features, or pricing. Early access, founder discounts, or invitations may be limited, changed, or withdrawn at our discretion.

You can unsubscribe from waitlist communications at any time.

7. Third‑Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third‑party services or websites. KinWise is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third parties.

Your use of third‑party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, designs, text, graphics, and software related to KinWise are owned by or licensed to KinWise Limited.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Services without written permission, except where permitted by law.

We aim to keep the Services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time, including during development and pre‑launch phases.

10. Limitation of Liability

we are not liable for losses resulting from your use of, or reliance on, the Services
this includes direct, indirect, or consequential loss

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable laws.
